On June 21, 13 hours and 52 minutes local time Gerald Bauer finished in RAAM in Annapolis (Maryland) with a total time of 9 days, 22 hours and 3 minutes (9th place). But there was another surprise for the audience and spectators. Read more in our report.
Last days before the race were spent in final preparations for the competition. Since Saturday training on MULTISPECTRUM-HYPOXI barotrainer resumed. On Sunday representatives of RAAM held inspection of support vehicles. On Monday evening the final briefing for all contestants took place. The race starts tomorrow!
On the 11th of June the Race Across America (RAAM) starts in Oceanside, California. This annual bike race crosses U.S. from the west to the east and is ranked as one of the most extreme sport events in the world. One of the athletes, the Austrian Gerald Bauer, will be accompanied by his personal physician Fedor Fomin (Neurosoft) and the HYPOXI company's representative Bernd Eckerstorfer. Their main task - to assess the state of various systems of the athlete's organism throughout the race with a MULTISPECTRUM-HYPOXI unique complex.
The devices produced by our company started a successful work as a part of the medical-diagnostic system for the evaluation and correction of the functional state of athletes in a Recovery Center of Russian national teams in the Olympic village and in the Medical center in Beijing.
